Some Blue diamonds are natural Semi-Conductors; they actually conduct electricity.
This is unusual as most diamonds are excellent electrical Insulators.

I have been privileged to see a natural blue Diamond (I don't own one YET !!!) up close and personal and it's simply breathtaking.
Why do i say privileged?
In October 2007, the Hong Kong Branch of Sotheby's sold a Blue Diamond for $7.98 Million.
The 6.04 Carat Fancy vivid blue diamond was Internally Flawless & cut in an cut in an Emerald Shape sold for $1.32 million per carat.
This is a record for ANY Gemstone ever sold.

Moral of the story is that the very best blue fancies are rare & on the expensive side and most jewelers have never seen one.
Blue Fancies are mostly set in Platinum but can also be set as White Gold Diamond Rings.

Can you get affordable fancy diamond engagement rings?
Most definitely!!!
Thing is though, you will not find them in just any high street store.
They are sold mostly by specialist Jewelers. This makes sense since they aren't the cheapest items on the menu!!

Will you have to part with a body part to afford one?
Good news is, No you won't!!
You can get Blue Diamond Rings for reasonable amounts.

Always remember though, you get what you pay for and if you aren't careful....you'll sometimes get LESS than what you paid for!!
Huh?? What i mean is that since there are so many factors influencing the cost of a Diamond, its only wise to be careful where you buy your Diamonds.
Its also good to keep in mind that not all Jewelers are 100% honest. Some of them will try to sell you a rubbish stone hence..."you might get less than what you paid for" !!
