How do you go about getting cheap diamond wedding rings?

You are in the market for cheap diamond wedding rings & you seem to be lucking out….well as the old adage goes “its your lucky day”.
Before we go on, let us agree that what is cheap for me isn’t cheap for you and vice versa. I will try and cater to the definition of cheap to the best of my ability.

Steel grey metal in its raw form, tungsten is brittle & hard to work but once purified cn be easily worked. In pure form, tungsten has the highest melting point of all metals that of 3,422°C and the highest tensile strength meaning it can withstand heavy loading. Tungsten is worked by extruding, forging or drawing.
Tungsten is used in rocket engine nozzles, for aerospace due to its tolerance to high temperature and in heavy metal alloys due to its density. High speed steel is a good example of a heavy metal alloy as it contains up to 18% tungsten. This enables it to be used in weights, ballast keels for yachts, heat sinks, ballast in Formula one and NASCAR race cars and tail ballast for commercial aircraft. It is also used as supersonic shrapnel in grenades and missiles.
Okay, that’s really cool but whats that got to do with cheap diamond wedding rings you ask? Well its this same density which is similar to that of Gold that makes it ideal for use as an alternative to platinum or gold in jewelry manufacture. Tungsten is hypoallergenic meaning it will not react with most of the people who wear it……also due to its hardness, it will resist scratching & will not need polishing which is ideal in brushed finish ring designs.

Another metal used in the manufactuer of cheap diamond rings is Titanium.
In nature, its always bonded to other elements and is the 9th most abundant element in the earths crust & the 7th most abundant metal. Its annual production is around 90,000 tonnes of metal out of which around 4 million tones of titanium oxide are obtained.
It has a high tensile strength doesn’t corrode easily and can withstand moderately high temperatures. These properties enable it to be used in spacecrafts, naval ships, aircraft engines and frames, armor plating and missiles. The Boeing 777 has about 59 tonnes of titanium on it most of it being in the critical structural parts and hydraulic systems.
For out purposes, the chemical property of titanium we are interested in is its excellent resistance to corrosion; it is almost as resistant as platinum and capable of withstanding attack by acids!!

As can be seen, these metals though relatively inexpensive have a great heritage & are great for cheap diamond wedding rings. They look good, are light, scratch resistant and woun’t corrode over time.
